June 6th - 8th
Transform yourself this Summer

Registration has closed for our retreat.

I am already planning for 2026. Send me a message with your theme and location ideas. I look forward to seeing you to Nourish + Nurture 2026!

Nourish + Nurture Retreat begins on June 6, 2025! Step away from the craziness of everyday life when you join with like-minded women to experience yoga, sound, food + horses in my wonderful hometown of Kalamazoo, Michigan.

We will stay at The Kalamazoo House Bed & Breakfast in downtown Kalamazoo. All rooms are singles with private bathrooms, so registration is limited to 9 women, allowing us to have a close community that will support the nourishing & nurturing that we all are craving these days. Come on your own or come with friends and share a room! There are 4 rooms that can accommodate sharing if you want separate beds. It is an easy walk to the Mall, where you can take in local shops and restaurants, and the annual Art in the Park festival.

Our retreat allows you to venture into your own inner wisdom with the support of like-minded women. Your inner wisdom will be expanded through group discussions and meditation, yoga and sound immersion journeys, and through food. You will connect to your body, breath, energy and community through movement, sound and nourishment from healthy foods.

What to expect:

  • Yoga sessions designed to create a sense of groundedness in body, mind and spirit

  • Sound immersions created to let you soar on a journey of vibrations from various instruments

  • Experience healthy food creation, and how to deeply enjoy the nourishment provided

  • Take in the beauty of art

  • Group contemplation and setting intentions

  • Silent time to digest what you are learning

  • Community building and deep listening in natural settings

  • Meditation with horses and nature (weather dependent)

Your time outside group sessions can be spent however you choose, such as quietly reflecting on the discoveries you've made, journaling or in meditative movement, or relaxing in the sauna.

Find a sense of belonging, and a chance to nurture the essence of your being as well as your body during this weekend journey of discovery. Bask iin an atmosphere of nourishment and nurturing with us and Welcome to Kalamazoo!

Kalamazoo is easy to get to by car (just off I94), by air (our little international airport is served by Delta and American Airlines, airport code AZO), and by Amtrak. Someone from my team can pick you up from the train or airport. If you drive, there is free parking!

The price includes private guest room, all sessions, dinner Friday evening, breakfast Saturday & Sunday, the use of the infrared sauna.

This retreat is kept intentionally small, so each woman has space to truly be seen, heard, and held. 🌸

If your heart is whispering “yes”—now is the perfect time to honor it.
Spots are filling, and I would love to welcome you.

Sandra RietKerk

Sandra RietKerk became a certified horseback riding instructor in the 1990s. While instructing, she noticed her students were growing emotionally as well as in their horsemanship. Comments from parents, like "She used to be so shy, but now she shares so much! I think the lessons are changing her." or "She was big and loud before she started lessons, and now she is listening." After hearing numerous remarks like this, Sandra sought other ways to facilitate those connections and that led her to achieve certification as an Equine Specialist with EAGALA (Equine Assisted Growth & Learning). All of her activities are done on the ground with horses, so no riding experience is necessary. This is not therapy, unless you would like the support of your personal therapist during a session. Experiential learning takes you out of your head and into your body, where the horses can interact with you vibrationally and be present in your world. In an experiential learning session, you will interact one-on-one with horses on an emotional and spiritual level, while they accept you as you are and offer their assistance in moving past places you feel stuck.
