Why Gentle Yoga?
My approach to yoga is rooted in function, breath, and the needs of the individual body.
I completed my 500-hour teacher training through the American Viniyoga Institute with Gary Kraftsow and Mirka Kraftsow. The Viniyoga tradition draws from the lineage of T. Krishnamacharya and is built on a simple but profound premise: the practice should serve the person. I continue learning — my most recent trainings are certificates as a Breath Coach from YogaBody, and Restorative Yoga with Judith Hanson Lasater.
In both group classes and individual sessions, my focus is on movement and breath working together to support your body for what it actually needs. Group classes are built around a central theme. One-on-one sessions are designed around you — your body, your history, your goals.
Viniyoga and pranayama have been central to my own healing journey, and to the ease of movement and breathing I experience today. That lived understanding informs everything I teach.
